How to Read the Aura

How to Read the Aura

First of all, find a place where you won't be around any harsh light; soft light is best to read auras. You will also need a piece of white paper large enough to place your whole hand on.
Place your hand on the cardboard and relax your eyes. Don't stare at your hand, rather look at the areas around the fingertips and fingers.

After a while, if you are relaxed enough, you will begin to see a soft haze around your hand. If you look at it long enough, you will start to see colors. Beginners can usually make out only one color, but as you get better you will be able to see more at one time.

Don't be discouraged if you don't see anything the first few times. It takes practice to become good at reading auras, and after a while you will realize that it's not really as hard as you might have first thought.

You may also wish to take nonliving objects, like rocks and such, and try to see their auras as well. This can be very good practice for you.

THETA MEDICAL INTUITION & REMOTE VIEWING:
THE ORIAN TECHNIQUES
INDIGO AND RAINBOW CHILDREN-- THEIR TRAITS
Much has been written about the Indigo children, with their vast awareness, intuition, and ability to manifest easily. It's amazing to realize, contrary to what has been printed in many popular New Age publications, that they have actually been born for the last forty-five or fifty years with the oldest Indigo that Vianna (ThetaHealing founder) has ever met being 83. Before the Indigo children appeared to usher in the "New Age", the Crystal Children were born who also had intuitive and psychic abilities. In ancient times, Indigos and Crystal children were often found in religious groups or organizations so that they had a place to practice their connection with the Creator.

Indigo personalities are deeply sensitive individuals connected to their inner self with a life long search for higher truth and consciousness. They experience life through their inner feelings, inner knowledge and intuition like the other color personalities. Indigos want everyone to be in harmony as they are very sensitive to psychic and emotional energy of others. Unlike the Rainbow children, they will interpret another's energy as their own until

they learn discernment. Thus, they can be negatively influenced by how they 'read/sense'

others. If you have heard of Indigos being able to shift their polarities, this happens
unconsciously to match another's polarity and pardigm so they feel safe.

Indigos often feel out of place, as if they came to the wrong planet.

They are also very attuned to their parents' and teachers' emotions and can become easily upset if they feel they have somehow disappointed them, been misunderstood, judged, or criticized. If disciplined unfairly by authority figures, they will be assertive in getting their position heard, which seems true for other injustices that appear in their lives. This can be interpreted as defiance and confrontive behavior rather than the ability to see things from a more aware perspective. If truely listened to, Indigos can make exemplary students to their teachers and great teachers to their parents and their world around them.

Many children in today's world have been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD. Some authorities believe that these children are all Indigo's. These children can be psychic but not all are necessarily Indigo or Rainbow children. Learning disabilities and their accompanying symptoms can come from many different sources. It's important to know that Indigos are not necessarily disruptive, but if their emotional make-up becomes this way and also abusive (hurtful, violent and unbelievably defiant), they could really be chemically imbalanced. These children's tendencies lean more towards manic-depression. They should be assisted in bringing them to a normal balanced state without putting them on anti-depressants. It is suggested to start by checking all factors such as family environment, possible abuse issues, allergies to certain foods, and possible hormonal or system imbalances. Eliminating processed white sugars and flours, preservatives like BHT and BHA, diet products like splenda, aspartame and saccharine, and red/yellow dyes will help stop the build up of toxins in their body that affect their brain chemistry.

It's also important for parents to learn about the developmental stages of children and effective disciplinary modalities that are respectful to the child and situation, related to their children's actions, and create responsibility and accountability in their behavior rather then using punishment to serve short-term behavioral goals. Parents will find it important to model effective expressions of desired behavior, handle their own emotions appropriately, work on changing their own beliefs, and improve their parenting and communication skills to empower their children. Resources

The greatest challenge for Indigo personalities is for them to understand that the insensitive ways humanity tends to relate to each other and Mother Earth are not personally directed at them, and so they must work on compassion rather than sympathy or empathy to balance their own confusion, sadness and anger. Many people born of Indigo frequency have actually worked on their personal issues to evolve into being Rainbow frequency.

Rainbow children, who have been born throughout the last 15 years, are different than Indigo children. They have been born with the ability to change the world around them with infinite wisdom. They radiate love, patience, are extemely adaptable and recall memories of other times, places and abilities. These children can convert emotional energy easily and are not overwhelmed by the energy of others or of negativity. They simply change it as they have the ability to shift energy to the way they want it to meet the highest needs of humanity. Rainbow children can also change the colors of their aura depending on their thoughts. The frontal lobe of these children are more extended and process at a much quicker rate. The differences in their DNA make them more immune to disesases as they grow older.

Bronze children exhibit traits of love and compassion as well, but their joy is to create and dissemble things, being focused and determined to find answers to the workings of creation, to ask "Why?" They then apply this knowledge to help the advancement of humanity as they see how it can be used scientifically. These are the scientists of the future, the botanists, microbiologist, quantum physicists.

The Gold Children are born healers being adept at creating manifestations, "seeing" the issues and changing them. They excel in the healing emotions both physically and genetically and have no doubt of Creator's healing power. Though they can be artistic, they focus primarily on healing. At a young age, they are able to choose what they want to do in their life. Many become doctors, surgeons, medical researchers or healing practitioners. Gold Children are susceptible to environmental substances like the Indigo and Bronze frequencies, but can train their bodies to live anywhere in the world, being able to adapt without negative reactions.

As the awakening of humanity into a new Consciousness is occuring, these Indigo and Rainbow children have come to support us in uplifting our awareness and bring the blessings to teach us about true Unconditional love.

How can you tell if you are an Indigo?

"The Indigo Child is a boy or girl who displays a new and unusual set of psychological attributes, revealing a pattern of behavior generally undocumented before. This pattern has singularly unique factors that call for parents and teachers to change their treatment and upbringing of these kids to assist them in achieving balance and harmony in their lives, and to help them avoid frustration."

-- Lee Carroll & Jan Tober

How can you tell if you are an Indigo?
A good way to "test" yourself is to answer the following:

Are you always searching for your greater purpose in life but feel like the world isn't set up for your kind?

Do you sometimes feel wise beyond your years?

Do you have trouble conforming to the ways of society?

Do you feel out of place in today's world?

Do you perceive the world very differently than most people around you?

Do you have strong intuition about certain things that most others do not?

Do you often feel misunderstood when you try to talk to people about what's real?

Are you a truth seeker?

Do you feel like you were born to accomplish a special mission in life?

Do you feel isolated and alone in your beliefs?

Misunderstood by family?

Do you feel anti-social unless you are with people of like mind?

Are you emotionally sensitive?

Did you have a difficult childhood?

Do you often feel disempowered by too much authority?

If you can answer yes to many of these questions,
then you are most likely an Indigo.

INDIGO CHILDREN

Origins
The term indigo children originates with parapsychologist and self-described synesthete and psychic, Nancy Anne Tappe, who first described the concept in the 1970s. Tappe published the book Understanding Your Life Through Color in 1982 describing the concept, stating that during the mid 1960s she began noticing that many children were being born with "indigo" auras(though in other publications Tappe has said the color indigo came from the "life colors" of the children which she acquired through her synesthesia. The idea of indigo children was later popularized by the 1998 book The Indigo Children: The New Kids Have Arrived, written by husband and wife self-help lecturers Lee Carroll and Jan Tober.[4] The promotion of the concept by Tober and Carroll brought greater attention and exposure to the topic, and their book became the authoritative source on indigo children. They describe the goal of indigo children to be a remaking of the world into one lacking war, trash and processed food, though if blocked from their goal they may end up murdering others or being institutionalized. Tappe states that individuals responsible for school shootings were indigo children.
In 2002, an international conference on indigo children was held in Hawaii, drawing 600 attendees, with subsequent conferences the following years in Florida and Oregon. The concept was popularized and spread further by a feature film and documentary released in 2005, both directed by James Twyman, a New Age writer.
Characteristics
Descriptions of indigo children include the belief that they are empathetic, curious, possess a clear sense of self-definition and purpose, strong-willed, independent, often seen by friends or family as weird and have a strong interest in God from early childhood. Indigo children have also been described as having a strong feeling of entitlement, or "deserving to be here." Other alleged traits include a high intelligence quotient, an inherent intuitive ability, and resistance to authority.According to Tober and Carroll, indigo children function poorly in conventional schools due to their rejection of authority, being smarter than their teachers and a lack of response to guilt-, fear- or manipulation-based discipline.
According to research psychologist Russell Barkley, the New Age movement has yet to produce empirical evidence of the existence of indigo children and the 17 traits most commonly attributed to them were akin to the Forer effect; so vague they could describe nearly anyone. There is also concern that labeling a disruptive child an "indigo" may delay proper diagnosis and treatment that may help the child.Others have stated that many of the traits of indigo children could be more prosaically interpreted as simple arrogance and selfish individualism, which parents with certain New Age beliefs see as being something that they are not.

Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder
Tober and Carroll's book The Indigo Children linked the concept with diagnosis of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), makes the case that indigos are a new stage of evolution rather than children with a medical diagnosis, and that "indigos" require special treatment rather than medications. Many children called indigo by their parents are diagnosed with ADHD. Robert Todd Carroll points out that labeling a child an indigo is an alternative to a diagnosis that implies imperfection, damage or mental illness, which may appeal to many parents, a belief echoed by many academic psychologists.[6] He also points out that many of the commentators on the indigo phenomenon are of varying qualifications and expertise. Linking the concept of indigo children with the use of Ritalin to control ADHD, Carroll states "The hype and near-hysteria surrounding the use of Ritalin has contributed to an atmosphere that makes it possible for a book like Indigo Children to be taken seriously. Given the choice, who wouldn't rather believe their children are special and chosen for some high mission rather than that they have a brain disorder?"

Stephen Hinshaw, a professor of psychology at the University of California, Berkeley, states that concerns regarding the overmedicalization of children are legitimate but even gifted children with ADHD learn better with more structure rather than less, even if the structure initially causes difficulties. Many indigo children are home schooled.

Skepticism
Skeptics see the concept of indigo children as made up of extremely general traits, a sham diagnosis that is an alternative to a medical diagnosis, with a complete lack of science or studies to support it. The lack of science is acknowledged by some believers, including Doreen Virtue, author of The Care and Feeding of Indigos, and James Twyman, who produced two films on indigo children and offers materials and courses related to the phenomenon. Virtue has been criticized for claiming to have a Ph.D when it was provided by an unaccredited diploma mill.
In a Dallas Observer article discussing indigo children, a reporter recorded the following interaction between a man who worked with indigo children, and a purported indigo child:

“ "Are you an indigo?" he asked Dusk. The boy looked at him shyly and nodded. "I'm an avatar," Dusk said. "I can recognize the four elements of earth, wind, water and fire. The next avatar won't come for 100 years." The man seemed impressed. ”

Readers of the Dallas Observer later wrote in to inform the newspaper that the child's response appeared to be taken from the storyline of Avatar: The Last Airbender; a children's cartoon showing on Nickelodeon at the time of the interview. The editor of the Dallas Observer later admitted they were not aware of the possible connection until readers brought it to their attention.

Nick Colangelo, a University of Iowa professor specializing in the education of gifted children, stated that the first indigo book should not have been published, and that "...[t]he indigo children movement is not about children, and it is not about the color indigo. It is about adults who style themselves as experts and who are making money on books, presentations and videos."
